Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year A) 21st June, 2026

GOSPEL REFLECTION:

Jesus instructed the twelve: “Do not be afraid. For everything that is now covered will be uncovered, and everything now hidden will be made clear.” We are presently in a ferocious battle between Christ and the anti-Christ, between followers of light and the followers of darkness. If the present tide is not turned, Christians will go into hiding to be replaced by a New World Order led by the anti-Christ. Archbishop Vigano said: “Plans for a New World Order must be unmasked, understood and revealed.” There are many prophesises that speak to us today. When Pope St John Paul II was in the City of Fulda, during his journey in Germany (Nov. 15-19, 1980), a group of people asked him 2 questions: Once concerning the secret of Fatima. First Question: “What about the secret of Fatima which was to be made public already in 1960?” Answer of the Holy Father: “Because of its alarming contents and for fear of provoking the forces of communism to take immediate action my predecessors preferred to reveal the secret through diplomatic channels. Moreover, it should be sufficient for every Christian to know this: when we read in the secret that oceans will flood entire continents…that men will die at every minute, and by the millions. This much is enough for not requesting the publication of the whole secret. At this point the Pope grasped His Rosary and said: “This is the remedy against all evil! Pray, pray, and don’t ask further questions. Leave all the rest to Our Lady. Second Question: What will happen to the Church? Answer: “We must be well prepared for the approaching great tribulations that may demand even the sacrifice of our life, and out total self-oblation to Christ and for Christ … the trial could be mitigated by your and my prayers, but can be no longer avoided, because a true renewal in the Church was born again in blood. It won’t be, otherwise, even this time. Let us be brave and prepare ourselves to trust in Christ and His Blessed Mother. Let us pray fervently and constantly the Holy Rosary!” A prophecy was given by Our Lord to a Luisa Piccarreta in 1922. Luisa lived on the Eucharist for the last 64 years of her life. Al Luisa’s writings have been approved by the Church. Our Lord “showed me masses of people crying, homeless, prey to the greatest desolation. Towns collapsed, streets deserted and uninhabitable. One could see nothing but heaps of stone and rubble. My God, what pain, to see these things and live! I looked at my sweet Jesus, but He did not deign to look at me; rather, He cried bitterly, and with a voice, broken by tears, told me: “My daughter, man has forgotten heaven for earth. It is justice that the earth be taken from him … that he remembers that heaven exists (1922).” In 1938 Our Lord added: “The soul who lives abandoned in Me finds refuge, a hiding place … I hide him within Myself.” Our Lord said to Luisa that when we abandon ourselves or give all of ourselves to Jesus, then He will hide us or draw us into Himself where we will find fulfillment. How can we prepare for these times? Firstly, attend Mass, at least a few times a week. In this parish we have Mass twice a day. Secondly, attend the Sacrament of Reconciliation, at least once a month. In this parish Reconciliation is offered before every Mass. Thirdly, Eucharistic Adoration. We have Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration here. Fourthly, as St John Paul II said: “Let us pray fervently and constantly the Holy Rosary.” Our Lord did say that the prince of this world is the devil. (Jn 12.31) But He added that he has no power unless given by God Himself. (Jn 14.30) Also, “Where sin abounds, Grace abounds even more.” (Rom 5.20) There is no limit to the grace God is giving us today. Grace is the Holy Spirit, or God Himself. No matter how difficult life may be (no matter how great the Cross), remember that God is always giving Grace which is Himself without limit.
